Jim and Dana were married on an epically hot day in June at a quaint country church in the groom’s hometown of Indian Mound, Tennessee. Bride Dana told us that her invites were word-of-mouth only; the couple wanted a sweet, small, intimate celebration for their wedding day. Each guest was a close personal friend or family member, and they all gathered at the precious church tucked deep down a long, country road. Following the ceremony, guests shared their congratulations for the happy couple over a to-die-for southern BBQ. A few of the touches I loved: the blue fans imprinted with the couple’s names and wedding date (these came in handy to ward off the heat and made for a great impromptu prop for photos); the bride’s darling blue shoes, and a wilderness outside the church perfect for the kids (including the darling flower girl and the bride’s sweet son who had a fun time tossing sticks into a nearby stream). All in all, the day was perfect.
