Since the Moon only comes this close to the Earth once every 18 years or so, I had to take a picture of it! Pssst – dont worry Moon, I always think you are super!

Jason and Amanda were wed on a beautiful springlike January day at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. Their intimate celebration included their closest family and friends, along with an abundance of love and laughter. The couple shared their first look before the ceremony in the beautiful Cathedral courtyard– a meeting charged with emotion that brought me to tears– (I loved this moment so much I animated it so that I could relive it a bit!). Following their nuptials, the two joined the afternoon reception at Fleming Center. The room was decorated with flowers from Brocade designs in spring pastels, and the vessels were all family heirlooms– including pieces from Amanda’s mom’s collection as well as her own. Guests enjoyed a bluegrass band playing classic favorites as the kids gathered around the cake with open, wondrous eyes. All in all– an afternoon not soon to be forgotten. Congratulations, Jason and Amanda!

Since Jason and Amanda met on Vanderbilt’s campus, it seemed fitting that we shoot their engagement session where their love blossomed. As a little homage to her grandmother, Amanda wore her grandmother’s wedding dress. It was a vintage blue suede dress with gold floral accents. As we strolled around the campus, Jason informed that it is actually a national arboretum – a random fact that I found quite interesting. Although it was a little cold outside, the session was a blast! Their wedding was this past weekend and I look forward to sharing those amazing images – soon!

He’s a doctor. She’s a doctor. She fixes kids. He fixes kids’ parents. They are a sweet, adorable, loving couple who were brought to Nashville for their jobs. One of their passions is travel. Their awesome wedding planner, Latrice of Opulent Couturier, suggested that we tie this into their engagement shoot. After some phone calls Latrice was able to get access to Shelbyville Municipal Airport where we were able to shoot pretty much anywhere on the grounds. These are the results. Enjoy!

David and Lissa are one of those couples that have this…way…about them that makes you just feel all warm and fuzzy. Lissa’s a dream bride: outgoing, fun, and just all around cool. The two of them shared a vision for their destination wedding: fun, good food, and awesome entertainment, and they most certainly delivered. Add to the mix an awesome venue (The Red House), a great planner (Kelly Spalding of Perfectly Placed) some pretty flowers (Brocade Designs), and a jammin’ band (Bueler) the party was nothing less than epic.
